Faith Technologies Inc. (FTI) is searching for a Director of Engineering to support the product and engineering teams. As the Director of Engineering for Intelligent Systems in the R&D group, you will be responsible for leading Advanced Simulation, AI and optimization teams on-site in the Menasha-Appleton, WI area at Excellerate Products Division of FTI. In this leadership role, you will bridge the gap between breakthrough research and commercialized product innovation for distributed energy and power distribution systems.
Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, you will oversee high-performing modeling and simulation engineers, spearhead complex R&D initiatives, and drive product innovation with a close tie to IOT and AI implementation. Furthermore, you will develop and oversee the execution of engineering proposals, forge top-tier university partnerships, and turn abstract conceptual ideation into market-ready energy products.
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related STEM field.
- 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, with a proven track record in R&D environment.
- Practical understanding of system-level modeling and simulation tools (such as MATLAB/Simulink, FEA, CFD, etc.) to evaluate system or structural performance, thermal management, and fluid interfaces.
- Proven personnel management excellence with experience leading, guiding, and managing a team of advanced engineers.
- Strong knowledge and background in power system dynamics, power electronics hardware integration, and digital control loop design.
- Knowledge of how to deploy AI, data analytics, or machine learning frameworks within engineering applications and IOT interfaces.
- Demonstrated ability to apply rigorous project management frameworks to manage complex, multi-year technical timelines and engineering budgets.
- Ability to work fully on-site in the Menasha-Appleton, WI area.
- Prior industry background and experience in Electrification, Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), power products, clean energy, or microgrids.
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting technical and financial proposal development for grant applications and commercial bids.
- Established track record of managing university engagements and national laboratory relationships to drive product innovation.

This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday
- Friday. Works a sufficient schedule to meet the expectations of the role.
