The Senior Accountant – Consolidation is responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting, intercompany accounting, and consolidation activities across multiple legal entities. This role operates in a dual-ERP environment and plays a key role in ensuring data integrity, compliance with accounting standards, and smooth month-end and year-end close processes.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements, along with hands‑on experience working within multiple ERP systems, such as Viewpoint and Acumatica. Advanced Excel skills are required, and experience with financial consolidation tools is considered a plus. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment.
This individual is detail‑oriented and brings a strong sense of ownership, is comfortable navigating complex organizational structures, and is highly systems‑savvy with a focus on process improvement. Additionally, the candidate will be collaborative in nature and able to work cross‑functionally to support broader organizational objectives.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA‑eligible preferred).
- Experience: 4‑7+ years of accounting experience, including consolidation and intercompany accounting.
- Travel: 5‑10%.
- Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday‑Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
- Prepares and reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Supports month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes across multiple entities.
- Analyzes financial results, identifies variances, and provides explanations to management.
- Assists with audit requests and external reporting requirements.
- Performs legal entity consolidations, including eliminations and equity adjustments.
- Supports changes in organizational structure, acquisitions, or system integrations.
- Manages intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations.
- Ensures intercompany balances are accurate, agreed upon, and settled timely.
- Investigates and resolves intercompany discrepancies across ERP systems.
- Works effectively across two ERP systems to ensure accurate data flow and reporting.
- Supports reconciliations between systems and identifies data or process gaps.
- Assists with system enhancements, upgrades, or process improvements.
- Maintains strong internal controls and documentation.
- Identifies opportunities to streamline reporting, consolidation, and intercompany processes.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
