The Website Specialist is responsible for managing day-to-day website operations, supporting content updates, improving site performance and ensuring a consistent, accessible digital experience across channels. They will partner closely with marketing communications, partners and Business Technology to execute updates, optimize pages for SEO/UX and maintain a scalable governance model.
Minimum RequirementsEducation:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or a related field
Experience:
2 years of website management experience.
- Expertise with website platforms (i.e. Word Press, Storyblok, Squarespace), component-based design systems, and reusable content blocks.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for content formatting and light fixes.
- Experience with GA4 (basic reporting, event tracking) and on-page SEO.
- Understanding of accessibility principles (WCAG 2.2) and inclusive content practices.
- Understanding of SEO tools and site performance tools.
- Proficiency with Active Campaign, Sprout Social, project management tools or similar marketing platforms.
- Creative thinker and problem solver with a passion for digital marketing.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Travel: 5-10%
Work Schedule:
This position works between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Ability to work a flexible schedule is necessary.
Website Operations & Content
Build, edit and publish pages, components and assets in content management systems.
- Maintains site structure, navigation, redirects and internal linking hygiene.
- Executes content updates for campaigns, product launches and press releases with high attention to detail.
- Manages digital asset organization (naming, versions, alt text, tagging).
Optimization & Quality
Apply on-page SEO best practices (meta titles/descriptions, page copy, schema basics, internal links, etc.).
- Conducts regular QA (broken links, 404s, rendering issues, forms, mobile responsiveness).
- Ensures accessibility compliance to WCAG 2.2 AA standards (alt text, color contrast, focus order, keyboard navigation).
- Focuses on user experience (UX) to improve readability, scanability and engagement.
Governance & Process
Maintain content calendars, workflows, templates and documentation.
- Triages and delivers web requests via the project management request board.
- Supports localization and translation workflows; coordinates with internal or vendor translators, as needed.
- Assists with basic testing of platform updates/releases and coordinate fixes.
Collaboration
- Partners with Marketing on campaign landing pages and A/B tests.
- Works with web partner and/or Business Technology on technical issues, integrations and environments.
- Coordinates with Legal/Compliance for policy and regulatory content updates (privacy, cookies, terms).
- Provides back up support for social media, email and analytics operations, including scheduling posts, preparing basic content updates, assisting with email sends, executing routine publishing tasks to ensure continuity during high-volume periods or team absences, track and report on platform performance, set up data tracking and provide thoughtful recommendations based on analytics collected.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
