Network Engineer, Hardware Engineer
Overview
We are seeking two hands‑on Network Deployment Technicians / Level II Network Engineers to support a growing volume of new site buildouts and network deployments. This role is highly focused on execution and field operations, ideal for individuals who enjoy working directly with hardware, managing installations, and seeing projects through from setup to go‑live. This role is onsite in Menasha, WI.
Key Responsibilities- Support network deployments for new facilities, branch locations, and job sites across the U.S.
- Perform rack and stack, structured cabling, labeling, and equipment setup within MDF/IDF environments
- Apply and modify pre‑built network configurations using both CLI and GUI
- Install and configure network hardware, including switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, and SD‑WAN devices
- Assist with ISP circuit turn‑ups and ensure site connectivity readiness
- Conduct onsite installation, validation, and go‑live testing
- Troubleshoot basic network connectivity and hardware issues during deployments
- Collaborate with network engineering teams for troubleshooting, guidance, and escalations
- Assist with hardware staging, receiving, and preparation when onsite
- Hands‑on experience with network deployments, including rack and stack, cabling, and MDF/IDF setups
- Strong working knowledge of Cisco routing and switching, with the ability to navigate CLI
- Experience applying and adjusting pre‑built network configurations (IP changes, device setup)
- Basic troubleshooting skills for network connectivity and hardware issues
- Experience installing and configuring network devices such as switches, access points, and firewalls
- Willingness and ability to travel for multi‑day deployment projects
- Experience with firewalls and advanced switching technologies
- Familiarity with device staging, configuration, and deployment processes
- Additional exposure to structured cabling and large‑scale network rollouts
- Primarily onsite work for hardware staging, deployments, and team collaboration
- Flexibility to complete configuration work remotely when applicable
- Collaborative team environment with a group of experienced network professionals

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Menasha, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
