About the Opportunity

The Hybrid Systems Engineer role will manage and secure cloud‑based infrastructure, identity, and collaboration services across Microsoft Azure, Entra , and Microsoft 365. It will ensure optimal performance, compliance, and availability of services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and identity governance solutions. The engineer will lead incident response, implement automation, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support digital workplace initiatives.

The role also provides supplementary support to the on‑premises server administration team, requiring deep knowledge of core Windows Server roles.

Key

Duties & Responsibilities

Administration and management of Azure/Entra, including Multi‑factor Authentication, Conditional Access Policies, RBAC, and assessment/recommendation of security enhancements; configuration of SSO/ADFS/SAML/OAuth, enterprise app configuration, and certificate management.

Oversee the administration and troubleshooting of Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Hybrid Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, One Drive, and Email Delivery.

Power Shell automation/scripting for user add, move, and change processes in Entra/365.

Monitor system performance and availability, proactively resolve issues and optimize environments.

Assist with on‑premises Windows Server management and configuration.

Participate in the Teams Service Desk queue and service‑desk on‑call rotation.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree (or relevant work experience in lieu of education).

3–5 years of proven work experience.

Minimum 3 years managing an enterprise‑scale Entra/O365 environment, including SSO, SAML/OAuth, ADFS, enterprise applications, certificates, secrets, Exchange Online, Hybrid Exchange, RBAC configuration and best practices.

In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft best practices for configuration and security of corporate assets.

Strong scripting/automation with Power Shell.

Expert knowledge of on‑premises technologies:
Windows Server 2016‑2025, Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS.

Experience with load balancers (administration, upgrades, maintenance).

Experience with virtualization platforms including VMware ESXi and Hyper‑V.

Preferred Experience

5–7 years of demonstrated work experience.
Industry certifications such as MCSE, O365, CompTIA, Azure, Microsoft Identity and Access Knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong organization, interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, non‑verbal). Ability to manage a complex technical environment, work with minimal supervision, and maintain attention to detail. Effective follow‑through and willingness to learn new things through education and experience. Ability to assess the current technical landscape, suggest improvements and implement them. Ability to handle stress, work with others, and lead by example.

Availability outside normal business hours, willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally (including overnight stays and extended work hours). Ability to obtain a passport.
