IT Infrastructure Solutions Architect

Job Overview

Business Technology Solution Architects combine many different skills and experiences to address and solve business, information and technology related opportunities and problems. They partner with business partners, business analysts and engineers to define the technical requirements, principles and models that guide all solution decisions for the ecosystem. Responsibilities include analyzing and translating business, information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions integrating across applications, systems and platforms to achieve business objectives.

Business Technology Solution Architects work across many domains—including business, information, applications and infrastructure—to develop roadmaps that outline how solutions will be structured in the future.

Travel: 5-10%.

Work Schedule:

7:00AM–5:00PM, Monday–Friday, with potential for work at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and/or work experience (preferred).
• 7+ years direct work experience in a similar role.
• Prior experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
• Preferred experience with Workday, Salesforce, ERP, and/or Service Now.
• Machine learning and artificial intelligence experience is a plus.

• Leads and coordinates domain technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction.
• Aligns architectural strategy with business requirements.
• Responsible for analysis, design, and development of roadmaps and implementation plans based on a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
• Supports, develops, and communicates domain-wide policies, standards, guidelines and procedures.
• Develops the solutions viewpoint, synthesizing business, information and technology viewpoints into solutions that deliver capabilities.
• Reviews and approves architectural standards at a domain level.
• Reviews, analyzes, and develops architectural requirements for technology within the enterprise.
• Facilitates and leads evaluation and selection of software product standards and design of standard software configurations.
• Defines repeatable rules for implementing solutions in reusable ways, such as solution patterns.
• Ensures compatibility with existing solutions, infrastructure, services, and strategic requirements.
• Contributes to the development of software and data delivery platforms with reusable components.
• Coordinates architecture implementation and modification activities.
• Assists in post‑implementation continuous improvement efforts to enhance performance and provide increased functionality.
• Ensures conceptual completeness of technical solutions.
• Works closely with project management and business partners to align plans with the delivered solution.
• Analyzes current architecture to identify weaknesses and develop improvement opportunities.
• Identifies variances to accommodate project needs and proposes changes when necessary.
• Evaluates internal functions, business development strategies, and IT processes for improvement suggestions.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
