Position Overview
The Network Engineer III is a senior-level technical expert responsible for the architecture, implementation, optimization, and support of enterprise network infrastructure across a complex, multi-site environment. This role requires advanced expertise in routing, switching, network security, cloud networking, and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates strong technical leadership, and remains current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure supporting critical business operations.
- Engineer and support complex Cisco routing and switching environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Administer, configure, and optimize next-generation firewalls, VPNs, and network security policies.
- Design, deploy, and support networking solutions within cloud platforms, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure and exposure to AWS
. - Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives through automation and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Collaborate with network engineers, systems engineers, architects, and operational teams to deliver strategic technology projects.
- Serve as the highest level of escalation for complex network incidents, outages, and performance issues.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to junior engineers and support staff.
- Drive network performance, reliability, security, and business continuity improvements.
- Participate in project planning, architecture reviews, capacity planning, and technology roadmaps.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, network diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in network engineering within enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise in Cisco routing and switching technologies.
- Strong experience with enterprise firewall administration and network security best practices.
- Hands‑on experience designing and supporting cloud networking solutions in Microsoft Azure
; AWS experience is a plus. - Strong troubleshooting skills across LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD‑WAN, VPN, and hybrid‑cloud environments.
- Experience with network automation, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and manage complex infrastructure projects.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
- Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE) or equivalent networking certifications.
- Experience with Azure networking services including Express Route, Virtual WAN, Load Balancers, and Network Security Groups.
- Familiarity with SD‑WAN technologies and network monitoring platforms.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Power Shell.
