Role Overview
The Engineering Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and successful delivery of engineering projects within specified timelines, budget, and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, manage resources, mitigate risks, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate working knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Manage medium to large projects consisting of several team members.
- Implement successful team leadership, stakeholder management, process adherence, project ownership, and risk management.
- Communicate well with project leadership to ensure alignment with scope and schedules.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
- Work with Operations and Estimating staff in developing design/engineering project budgets and proposals.
- Engage the team to identify project risks and assumptions, develop mitigation strategies/plans, and ensure implementation of those strategies.
- Responsible for project cost management including estimating, funding, and forecasting.
- Manage project-related invoices, purchase orders, contracts, and external resources.
- Maintain regular, transparent communication with all project stakeholders.
- Ensure project is delivered within approved budget, schedule, contingency and meets quality standards.
- Promote a positive company culture by fostering friendly and constructive employee relations.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Management, Project Management, Analytics, or a related field. - Preferred Certification:
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP). - Experience:
Minimum 3‑5 years of demonstrated project management experience; recent experience managing medium to large projects with medium to high complexity; proficiency in managing multidisciplinary engineering projects from planning to delivery. - Experience with Revit and construction deliverables.
- Understanding of electrical and low voltage systems.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience interacting with Executive Leadership.
- Travel: 10‑20%.
- Work Schedule:
7AM to 5PM, Monday‑Friday; work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
