Mechanic

Job OverviewThe mechanic will be responsible for inspection, diagnosis, repair, and service of construction equipment and vehicles and other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions- Inspects, diagnoses, and services company equipment and vehicles.
- Examines equipment and oversees diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or any combination of education and professional experience that would meet the responsibilities listed above.
- Two years of experience in a similar role and trade certification is preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of internal combustion engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical one‑line diagrams with an ability to read and understand these diagrams.
- Capable of taking direction and working in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a desire to problem solve.
Primarily a mechanic shop environment.
ADA Physical DemandsThe following outlines how much of on‑the‑job time is spent on specific physical activities.
- Walking, sitting, tasting or smelling, and lifting up to 50 pounds: less than one‑third of the time.
- Standing, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling: up to two‑thirds of the time.
- Using hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms; talking or hearing; lifting up to 25 pounds: more than two‑thirds of the time.
