Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are growing and adding an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to our Accounting team! The AR Specialist will support the day-to-day accounts receivable and billing operations across multiple departments, with a primary focus on invoicing, collections, and cash application activities. This position will also gain exposure to multiple areas of the business, allowing them to support additional accounting functions as needed.

• Prepare, process, and send customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner, including sell-through credits, vendor pass-through invoices, Fee-for-Service (FFS) contracts, and incentive orders
• Monitor accounts receivable aging, follow up on past-due balances, and communicate with customers regarding account status and billing inquiries
• Apply and record customer payments through daily cash application, ensuring proper allocation and addressing discrepancies such as short payments and unapplied cash
• Reconcile internal AR balances to customer AP records and investigate and resolve variances
• Partner with customers and internal teams to resolve billing issues and prevent payment delays
• Maintain accurate customer account records and supporting documentation
• Support month-end close, audit requests, and ensure compliance with company policies and basic GAAP guidelines
• Assist with ad-hoc reporting and administrative tasks as requested; elevate complex issues to senior accounting team members
• Other duties as assigned

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance OR equivalent years’ experience
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
• Experience in direct-to-consumer, eCommerce, retail, sales, or related environments is a plus
• Experience with ERP and accounting systems;
  Net Suite experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting
• Effective organizational and time management skills
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal stakeholders
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Familiarity with leveraging AI and automation to enhance accounting processes
• Must be able to commute to the corporate office in Mendota Heights, MN
