Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Corporate Controller for a growing, mission-driven healthcare and human services organization. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity based in Mendota Heights, Minnesota.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our client is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance for a complex, multi-entity organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this leader will drive accounting excellence, strengthen internal controls, support enterprise technology initiatives, and partner with executive leadership to enhance financial performance and operational scalability. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the Corporate Accounting, Operations Accounting, and Accounts Receivable functions while developing and mentoring accounting leaders and building scalable financial operations.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring GAAP compliance, strong internal controls, successful audits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive accounts receivable operations with a focus on third-party reimbursement, collections, cash flow forecasting, and continuous process improvement.
  • Serve as a key finance leader during a major enterprise ERP implementation, supporting system design, testing, data conversion, process standardization, and organizational adoption.
  • Lead financial integration efforts that support organizational growth initiatives, including system implementation, accounting alignment, internal controls, and process standardization.
  • Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic planning, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Progressive accounting leadership experience overseeing financial reporting, accounting operations, and multi-entity organizations with strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
  • Experience leading accounting teams while developing talent, improving processes, and partnering with executive leadership.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing enterprise ERP and accounting systems, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills to support financial reporting, analysis, and operational excellence.
  • Experience operating within complex, regulated organizations, with exposure to financial transformation initiatives, business integrations, or enterprise ERP implementations highly valued.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
