What You’ll Do:This individual will monitor, analyze, and report on inventory valuation, production run rates, manufacturing variances, material prices, and freight costs. This position develops and maintains standard costs, processes monthly cost allocations, and verifies monthly closing activities.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview manufacturing variances and ensure accuracy in bill of materials and routings.
Analyze manufacturing variances including purchase price variance, invoice price variance, and freight-in absorption general ledger accounts to determine and communicate the impact on overall costs.
Calculate and update annual standard costs, including manufacturing labor and overhead rates.
Expand existing product costing models by understanding how cost changes in material, labor, and overhead affect overall product costing. Evaluate costs allocated to various production lines at multiple manufacturing sites.
Perform monthly closing activities, encompassing manufacturing variances and multi-plant expense cost allocations.
Assist with coordinating, scheduling, and reconciling annual physical inventory counts.
Maintain effective working relationships with company employees, suppliers, and customers. Promote and maintain the professional image and reputation of the company and ensure timely problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
Perform all tasks with great attention to detail, proper formatting, and correct grammar.
Perform all other duties as assigned by TCC Materials Management.
Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in accounting and/or Finance from a four-year accredited college or university, and 2-4 years related experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Experience with Oracle Net Suite desired.
Excellent communication skills and proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong knowledge of GAAP.
Must have effective communication ability and solid interpersonal/networking skills.
Must be self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work successfully without close supervision.
Must be able to multi-task in an accurate and timely manner with superior time management skills.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, suppliers, and other employees of the organization.
Evidence of leadership and professionalism.
Knowledge/experience in the commercial and residential construction materials industry.
Working knowledge of PC Window’s environment including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, computer literate with the ability to analyze and manage data.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
College degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
Pay: $65,000-$85,000 annually
