Utilize your knowledge to process payroll for multiple organizations, research and recommend tax compliance changes, and build and retain excellent customer relationships with HR professionals across the country.
This position is part of a team of payroll professionals who use established processes and shared expertise to support 30 Farm Credit organizations with approximately 11,500 employees located in 48 states. The team acts as an extension of our partner organizations’ HR and Payroll departments.
A Typical Day for this Position- Prepare, produce and distribute payroll services for multiple organizations utilizing Dayforce
- Serve as primary contact for a specific set of Farm Credit organizations
- Research payroll tax questions and regulatory updates to support compliance and clear client communication
- Respond to customer questions and requests via email, automated forms processing and phone
- Collaborate with payroll, HRIS and benefits team members to resolve issues
- Share payroll knowledge with team members and support department priorities during payroll processing cycles
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, human resources, or a related field
- Five years of payroll administration and/or HRIS experience (or equivalent)
- Expert knowledge of payroll and HR systems
- Strong understanding of payroll tax and compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to research issues, ask clarifying questions, and recognize when additional support or escalation is needed
- Ability to balance priorities, meet deadlines and adapt as business needs evolve
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and recordkeeping practices
- Comfort using Microsoft Office, payroll/HRIS platforms and electronic documentation tools
- Hybrid schedule;
