Purchasing Representative

Custom Sheet Metal Manufacturing Company seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent to join our growing team at our facility in Mendota Heights, MN. This role is responsible for managing and overseeing procurement of materials and goods, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and strong supplier relationships.

• Prepare, process, and track purchase orders to meet production needs
• Resolve order issues, expedite delayed shipments, and manage returns/credits
• Evaluate and develop suppliers, including site visits and contract negotiation
• Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier proposals to optimize cost and quality
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation

• 1+ year of procurement or related experience;
  JobBOSS experience preferred
• Strong negotiation, market analysis, and contract management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and ERP/procurement software
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• High attention to detail and strong time management abilities
• High school diploma or GED required; further education a plus

This is a direct hire, long term career opportunity, the starting pay range is $60K-$80K(doe) plus benefits and room for advancement.
