POSITION SUMMARY

Overview

U.S. Auto Force, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., brings together more than 100 years of experience as an industry leader in the distribution of tires, undercar parts, and lubricants to independent tire retailers, auto repair shops, and automotive dealerships. The schedule for this position is:
Sunday 9:00AM to 5:30PM, Monday‑Thursday 2:00PM to 10:30PM or until work is completed. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs, and may require overtime.

Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication.
  • Provides measurable feedback, suggestions for improved performance and recognition for achievements.
  • Conducts interviews, hiring and training as necessary.
  • Supports the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains a safe working environment for all associates.
  • Assists with process improvement initiatives.
  • Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of policies and procedures.
  • Continually enforces productivity standards.
  • Ensures excellent customer service and communication.
  • Receiving:
    Checks in product completely and accurately; stocks products correctly.
  • Loading:
    Picks product for daily deliveries along with special deliveries; loads trucks using good judgment regarding use of space and product safety.
  • Returns:
    Inspects and physically counts returned merchandise; restocks inventory in appropriate places.
  • Outbound freight of vendor returns; paperwork for all warranty product.
  • Unloading of customer/inventory transfers from corporate warehouses.
  • Operates power equipment, including forklift; may work as a backup driver as assigned or directed.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical demands: employee must frequently stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell; occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 80 pounds, handling tires of more than approximately 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Protective equipment required: steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt, SRL (self‑retracting lifeline). All equipment is provided by U.S. Auto Force except for steel/composite toe boots. Work environment may involve weather conditions, moderate noise level, and fumes associated with tires and occasionally car parts and lubricants.

Qualifications
  • 3 years of related experience.
  • Skills and experience sufficient to supervise assistant receivers and helpers.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems.
  • Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice.
  • Good memory and scanning abilities.
  • Good communication and math skills.
  • Able to lift up to 65lbs. with proper equipment and climb 20feet on a regular basis.
  • Ability to learn to use a forklift.
  • May require valid driver’s license and conformance with company driver policy.
  • Successfully pass a pre‑employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana).
