We are looking for a Retail Assistant Project Manager to join our Project Management team. Reporting to the Project Director, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of high-end retail construction projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Review bid documents, contracts, specifications, and drawings to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements.
- Support the coordination of activities across design, production, procurement, operations, and site teams to support effective project delivery.
- Support the execution of retail projects, ensuring compliance with quality, safety and contractual requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and support procurement activities for materials, equipment and subcontracts.
- Monitor project schedules and documentation ensuring effective communication across internal teams and external stakeholders
- Support project commercial activities, including cost control, payment applications, and cash flow monitoring.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, suppliers, and project partners.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and support compliance with company safety and quality standards.
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management, Project Management or a related field.
- Previous experience in construction or project management is preferred; experience in high-end retail projects is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of project management principles, methodologies and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.
- Understanding of storefront installation methods and retail construction practices
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to retail construction is preferred.
- Understanding of critical path scheduling is an advantage.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Availability to travel nationally and internationally as required (up to 40%).
