School Age Care (SAC) Support Paraprofessional

Support Paraprofessional

$17.40- $19.15 per hour based on the  salary schedule for district paraprofessionals.

• Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent.
• Support students in reading and math as determined by teacher and instructional coach.
• Assist in guiding children's behavior using a positive and consistent style.
• Knowledge of and ability to implement emergency procedures.
• Participate with children in activities.
• Assist with homework help.
• Work in small groups to assist students with daily activities.
• Experience with children in group situations, sensory breaks, detail oriented, good communication skills, high degree of flexibility.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work with students, parents and staff to plan/prepare for improved school success.
• Self starter-create and initiate programs for our students and teachers to improve/engage reading.
• Experience working with children of diverse economic, social, and cultural backgrounds.
• Other duties as assigned by site supervisor.

Physically capable of meeting all performance responsibilities required with students, including moderate standing, walking, stooping, bending and kneeling. Presenting information to students and lifting up to 40 pounds.
