We are seeking a Retail Jr. Estimator to join our Project Management team. Reporting to the Hub Leader, you will support the preparation of accurate cost estimates and competitive tender submissions for high-end retail projects. Working closely with estimators, designers, project managers and suppliers, you will analyse technical drawings and specifications, prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), coordinate supplier quotations and contribute to the development of competitive bids.

By ensuring that material, labour and project requirements are accurately evaluated, you will help deliver high-quality and competitive proposals while supporting the company’s quality and profitability objectives.

Key Accountabilities
  • Review project drawings, CAD models, specifications and tender documentation to prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support accurate cost estimates.
  • Support the preparation of tender analyses and competitive bid submissions for leadership review.
  • Prepare and coordinate Requests for Quotation (RFQs) with suppliers for materials, hardware and outsourced services.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations based on cost, quality and lead times to support sourcing decisions and cost optimisation.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, acting as a point of contact for pricing enquiries and technical clarifications throughout the tendering process.
  • Prepare pricing summaries, maintain accurate estimating data and use company systems and templates to support the estimating process.
  • Maintain estimating documentation and ensure an effective flow of information, documents and drawings between internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Collaborate with estimators, project managers, designers and the supply chain to support successful project delivery.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management or a related field.
  • Entry-level candidates are welcome; previous experience in construction, estimating, or quantity surveying is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models.
  • Knowledge of estimating principles and cost analysis methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to prepare and analyse cost models using spreadsheets.
  • Understanding of building codes and regulations related to retail construction is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and suppliers.
