Visitation School seeks a full-time (1.0) Coordinator of Technology Systems.

An independent Catholic day school, Visitation houses a co‑ed Lower School, an all‑girls Middle School, and an all‑girls Upper School. A member of NAIS and accredited by ISACS, the school is located on a beautiful, wild‑life rich, 60‑acre campus in Mendota Heights, Minnesota.

The Coordinator of Technology Systems oversees the school’s technology infrastructure, operations, and support services to ensure technology effectively supports academic and administrative goals. This role manages technology systems, staff, budgeting, and implementation of secure and reliable technology solutions across the school community.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement technology plans aligned with the school’s mission and goals.
  • Oversee technology infrastructure, systems security, and daily operations.
  • Manage technology budgets, purchasing, and vendor relationships.
  • Analyze system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with school leadership and technology committees on strategic initiatives.
Team Leadership & Supervision
  • Directly supervise and support technology staff and professional development.
  • Maintain inventory of technology equipment and software.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Support classroom technology integration and instructional initiatives.
  • Assist with hardware, software, and network installation and maintenance.
User Support & Educational Technology
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Support the integration of technology into classrooms and instructional programs.
  • Assist with hardware, software, and network installation, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with educators to promote developmentally appropriate and effective uses of technology.
  • Support school‑wide events, programs, and initiatives requiring technology assistance.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing technology systems, networks, and infrastructure.
  • Supervisory or project management experience.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, network administration, and technology operations.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical technology support tasks.
Preferred / Ideal Qualifications Key Skills & Competencies
  • Experience in an independent school or K–12 environment.
  • Experience with long‑term technology planning and educational technology.
  • Familiarity with instructional technology platforms and student information systems.
  • Experience leading collaborative technology initiatives or committees.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on technical support.
