About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Stone Fabricator & Polisher to join our team in Mendota Heights. In this role, you will work with premium materials-including Granite, Quartz, and Porcelain-using both traditional hand techniques and advanced fabrication machinery.

Key ResponsibilitiesFabrication & Polishing: Cut, shape, polish, glaze, and buff granite, quartz, and porcelain to exact specifications using hand tools and modern machinery.
Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation: Read shop drawings accurately to execute our 6 standard edge profiles without sacrificing precise dimensional tolerances.
Quality Control: Inspect finished work pieces using templates and precision measuring tools to verify quality and correct any defects.
Machinery & Equipment Operation: Safely operate specialized fabrication machinery, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
Shop Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean workspace, follow all shop safety protocols, and consistently wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)-including safety glasses, ear protection, waterproof gear, and dust masks.
Team
Collaboration:
Work dynamically within the shop, assisting team members at different stations when needed to keep production moving smoothly.
Stone Working Expertise: Hands-on experience cutting and polishing Granite, Quartz, and Porcelain
.Technical
Skills:
Ability to read shop drawings/blueprints and understand standard edge profiles (e.g., Ogee, Bevel, Bullnose, Pencil).Equipment
Experience:Proficiency operating stone machinery such as Comandulli, Genya, Smartcut, or Penta (or similar CNC/bridge saws).
Certified or experienced in operating Forklifts and Overhead Cranes

Math
Skills:
Basic shop math skills (adding and subtracting fractions/measurements accurately).
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs independently.
Ability to withstand continuous physical effort, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and handling heavy or awkward materials throughout the shift.
Comfortable wearing full protective gear in a wet/dusty fabrication shop environment.
Reliable 1st shift hours with long-term Temp-to-Hire stability.
Work with state-of-the-art stone fabrication machinery.
