Position Overview

The Quality Assurance & Integrity Specialist plays a vital role in advancing quality, compliance, and organizational integrity across RTI's programs and services. This position supports high-reliability practices that promote the health, safety, rights, and dignity of the individuals we serve.

Working closely with the Compliance & Quality Assurance Manager and operational leaders, this role conducts audits, monitors compliance, reviews documentation, analyzes trends, and supports corrective action initiatives to strengthen regulatory compliance, reduce organizational risk, and promote continuous quality improvement throughout the organization.

Role Responsibilities

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct internal audits of programs, services, and documentation to evaluate compliance with regulatory, contractual, licensing, and organizational standards.
  • Perform routine documentation reviews and targeted compliance audits.
  • Review participant and program records for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Maintain audit tools, compliance tracking systems, monitoring schedules, and documentation logs.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and follow-up of corrective action plans.
  • Support internal audits, external licensing reviews, accreditation activities, and documentation requests.

Organizational Integrity & Risk Monitoring

  • Monitor compliance trends involving documentation, incidents, grievances, and quality findings.
  • Identify systemic risks, recurring deficiencies, and organizational integrity concerns.
  • Escalate high-risk findings to Compliance & Quality Assurance leadership.
  • Support development of risk mitigation strategies and preventive actions.
  • Strengthen internal controls and organizational accountability.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc compliance and quality reports.
  • Monitor documentation timelines and follow up on missing, incomplete, or overdue records.
  • Track identified documentation deficiencies through resolution.
  • Assist with updating forms, templates, audit tools, and tracking systems.
  • Analyze compliance and documentation data to identify trends and support operational improvements.

Incident & Quality Review

  • Review and monitor General Event Reports and other incident reports.
  • Ensure reports are accurate, complete, timely, and compliant with reporting requirements.
  • Request corrections or additional documentation when needed.
  • Identify reporting concerns, repeat incidents, missed deadlines, and health or safety risks.
  • Assist with root cause analysis, quality investigations, and system-level corrective actions.

    Provide guidance regarding documentation standards, compliance expectations, and quality practices.
  • Partner with operational leaders to resolve compliance gaps and improve processes.
  • Support development of training materials, job aids, communication tools, and audit resources.
  • Participate in quality improvement, compliance, and organizational initiatives.

Integrity & Accountability

  • Promote ethical, accurate, person-centered documentation throughout the organization.
