Pay Type / Range:
Journeyman Union Scale. $45.19 per hour (based on experience and/or size and type of equipment). This pay range is a good-faith estimate of compensation for this role.

General Laborers are responsible for performing a wide range of physical tasks to support construction, maintenance, and other operational activities. This role involves manual labor and assisting skilled tradespeople in completing projects efficiently and safely.
Other RequirementsAll candidates are required to pass a thorough Background Check, Physical and Drug Test. References may also be checked. We participate in E-Verify.

- Site Preparation and Maintenance:
- Clean and prepare job sites by removing debris and hazardous materials.
- Set up and dismantle temporary structures, including barriers, etc.
- Assist in moving and organizing materials and equipment.
- Support for Skilled Trades:
- Assist foreman, operators, and others with their tasks.
- Carry tools and materials to and from work areas.
- Hold and position materials or equipment as needed.
- Load and unload materials from trucks or storage areas.
- Operate basic machinery and hand tools, including shovels, rakes, and drills.
- Construction and Demolition Tasks:
- Dig trenches, excavate, and backfill holes.
- Assist in the demolition of structures and the removal of debris.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors.
- Adhere to project timelines and work schedules.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Assist in the installation and removal of temporary signage or barriers.
- Participate in daily huddles / morning stretches.
- Regular attendance and overtime are required.
- Must be available for all work at all times, when required.
- A valid driver's license with clean driving record.
Education and Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in a general labor-type role.
- Paving industry / highway heavy experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of the Twin Cities and surrounding suburbs.
- Good vision for close tolerance work and any night work may be required.
- Class A CDL driver’s license with a good driving record (highly preferred).
- High school education or GED equivalent.
- Strong team player.
