  Step 1 $ 23.95 – Step 8 $ 33.69 (Initial salary placement is from Step 1 to Step 3 depending on reasonably related experience)
• Length of Work Year: M-F / 195 days per school year

Education & Experience:

• Two (2) years of successful driving experience with a demonstrated record of safe driving
• Experience driving a school bus or equivalent passenger transportation vehicle is desirable
• Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver’s License
• Possession of a California Special Drivers Certificate
• Possession of a Standard Red Cross First Aid Certificate or equivalent, or pass a test administered by the CHP
• All applicable state and federal licensing requirements

• Driving record from the DMV (K4) – This document can only be obtained in person at the DMV
• California Special Drivers Certificate
• CPR & First Aid Certificate – CPR and First Aid courses must be in accordance with the curriculum of the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Online certifications will not be accepted. A BLS certificate alone does not meet the CPR/First Aid requirement; a separate First Aid Certificate is also required.
