We're looking for a Junior Project Manager to support our Project Managers throughout all phases of the design process. This is an ideal role for someone with a strong technical foundation who is ready to grow into full project management responsibilities. You'll work closely with our design team, Project Managers, consultants, and vendors to help keep projects organized, moving forward, and executed with exceptional attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers throughout all phases of residential design, from schematic design through installation.
- Produce and revise AutoCAD drawings, including floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, and construction details.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of construction drawing sets.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure accurate project documentation.
- Assist with sourcing architectural finishes, plumbing fixtures, lighting, hardware, appliances, and furnishings.
- Prepare client presentations and meeting materials.
- Assist with specifications, schedules, and project documentation.
- Review shop drawings, finish samples, and product information for accuracy.
- Coordinate with the Purchasing Coordinator on approvals, timelines, and project schedules.
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and showroom appointments.
- Record and distribute meeting notes and follow-up action items.
- Maintain organized project files, task lists, and schedules.
- Help monitor project timelines and communicate upcoming milestones.
- Build positive relationships with clients, vendors, consultants, and industry partners.
- Assist with furniture installations and project punch lists.
- Track time with accurate daily time entries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a residential interior design firm.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD with experience producing residential construction drawing sets.
- Working knowledge of residential construction methods, detailing, and documentation.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Studio Designer (or the ability to learn quickly).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- A collaborative attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn.
