We are currently seeking a Security‑Focused Embedded Systems Engineer/Evaluator to join our Electrical Engineering and Computer Science practice in Menlo Park, CA. In this role you will test and troubleshoot secure identity credentials and security peripherals such as smart cards for identity management and authentication. Your work will span physical and digital aspects of devices and systems—conducting laboratory, field, and office testing against durability, reliability, quality, interoperability, performance and security standards.

• Perform electrical and digital lab tests after completing training
• Create clear and concise reports and visualizations for clients
• Manage technical expectations of stakeholders
• Develop cybersecurity expertise through certification programs

• Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Strong hands‑on engineering, lab, instrumentation, and research abilities
• Problem‑solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in hardware security, network communications & security, cryptography
• Software experience in C/C++, Python, Java, Swift (preferred) and ability to learn additional languages
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams
• Proof of U.S. citizenship and eligibility for DoD security clearance

• Experience coding and troubleshooting Arduino or similar devices
• Ability to perform instrumentation, troubleshooting, and create electro‑mechanical components, test fixtures, and equipment
• Ability to test systems and components for reliability, durability, and security
