Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Electrical Engineer for a Manager level role within our Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Practice located in Menlo Park, CA, Seattle, WA, or Bellevue, WA. In this role, you will work as part of a team to integrate scientific and engineering principles, data‑driven techniques, and current experimental methods with robust subject‑specific expertise to implement high‑value solutions to complex technical problems.
Responsibilities- Perform electrical engineering analyses and provide consulting related to electrical/electronic systems in ongoing Exponent work.
- Support project areas including failure analysis, risk assessment, reliability, design, manufacturing, and related domains.
- Execute electrical fault isolation at IC and PCB levels using analytical tools such as LIT, OBIRCH, X‑Rays.
- Conduct electrical schematic and safety design reviews on consumer electronic devices.
- Participate in every stage of a project lifecycle: scoping and proposals; development of customized testing; conducting testing; collecting and analyzing data; drafting reports; and presenting to clients.
- Pursue business development opportunities.
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field such as Applied Physics.
- Technical background in electrical engineering, electronics, controls, embedded systems, or automation.
- Experience designing, constructing, and performing tests in a laboratory setting.
- Experience with data centers and power management is preferred.
- Experience with data analysis automation is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to convey technical conclusions to both technical and non‑technical staff in engineering, business, and industry.
- Self‑starter with strong fundamentals, interested in learning new topics.
- Presently legally authorized to work in the United States; no immigration sponsorship or processing required.

Compensation & BenefitsBase salary range for this position is dependent on experience and capabilities and will be assessed during the interview process. At the Manager level and above, total compensation includes base salary, an annual bonus, and a 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.
