FNTECH is hiring a Broadcast Engineer to maintain and support broadcast infrastructure for executive studio operations at Meta's Menlo Park campus.
This engineering-focused role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and readiness of Meta's executive studio environments. The Specialty Production Broadcast Engineer serves as a dedicated operational resource, owning the day-to-day health of broadcast infrastructure and studio systems.
This position will work closely with the production team and the cross-functional break‑fix team to ensure all studio systems are fully operational, maintained, and production‑ready at all times. The successful candidate will have a deep broadcast engineering knowledge, a systematic approach to troubleshooting, and the ability to keep complex studio systems production-ready, all while demonstrating the collaborative and proactive mindset valued by FNTECH.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all executive studios at MPK are fully operational and production‑ready at all times
- Own the engineering health of all studio systems: video, audio, routing, networking, cameras, lighting, and VC/conferencing
- Perform regular system checks, preventive maintenance, and readiness verification across all studio environments
- Respond to and resolve technical issues in the studios quickly and reliably
- Maintain all engineering work in the racks that support studio and broadcast systems
- Ensure campus routing systems are configured correctly and functioning
- Work with other engineer teams to initiate and coordinate break‑fix activities
- Document and maintain up-to-date system configurations, signal flows, and rack layouts
- Develop deep familiarity with Meta's campus broadcast routing systems and understand how signals move across campus
- Route, troubleshoot, and modify signal paths as needed, coordinating with various teams on campus for engineering work, route changes, or infrastructure updates
- Be available to support executive production projects when additional engineering resources are needed
- Spin up on project-specific technical requirements and contribute engineering capacity as directed
- Work alongside the Meta Production team and the Executive Broadcast Engineer on larger builds when scope requires it
- Strong background in camera systems (setup, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting)
- Intimate knowledge of broadcast routing systems, including campus‑scale routing infrastructure
- Strong networking skills (IP video, broadcast networking, infrastructure networking)
- Deep signal flow knowledge across video, audio, lighting, and data systems
- Strong troubleshooting methodology — able to diagnose and resolve issues systematically under pressure
- Experience with rack builds, cable management, and broadcast system installation
- Ability to learn new and emerging production technologies at a deep level quickly
- Availability during standard business hours in Menlo Park, with flexibility for production needs, early calls, or late shoots as necessary
- 5 years of experience in a broadcast engineering role
- Experience supporting executive or high‑profile broadcast studio operations
- Familiarity with enterprise‑scale campus broadcast routing and signal distribution systems
- Experience working collaboratively with cross‑functional production and engineering teams
- Background in preventive maintenance programs for broadcast infrastructure
- Experience with IP‑based video production workflows and emerging broadcast technologies
- 10 years of experience in a broadcast environment
