At Leo Labs, we’re building the living map of activity in space. Through our proprietary global radar network and AI‑enabled analytics platform, we collect millions of measurements daily on more than 25,000 objects in low Earth orbit (LEO). Our radar‑powered intelligence protects billions in assets, monitors adversarial behavior, and ensures safe operations for commercial and government missions.

We’re not just building technology, we are redefining global security, safety, and transparency in space. As orbital activity accelerates and threats grow more complex, Leo Labs is a trusted partner for Space Domain Awareness, Space Traffic Management, and Satellite Operations for top‑tier space operators and allied defense organizations.

If you're looking to work on mission‑critical challenges at the forefront of aerospace, national security, and AI, your impact starts here.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Materials Planner on the Radar Supply Chain Management team to drive demand planning, material readiness, and forecast generation in support of our radar manufacturing and deployment schedules. This role will be responsible for translating engineering demand, production schedules, and program inputs into actionable forecasts and supply plans to ensure material availability across our global supply chain.

This position sits at the center of Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Inventory Management, ensuring alignment between what is needed, what can be built, and what is procured. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in supply/demand planning, a background in electronics, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment. This role requires a high level of analytical capability, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to continuously adapt plans as demand evolves in a fast‑paced environment.

This is a hybrid role at our headquarters in Menlo Park, CA.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain material forecasts based on engineering demand, production schedules, and program inputs
  • Translate evolving and ambiguous engineering requirements into structured, actionable supply plans
  • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to validate build requirements, yields, timing constraints, and align material readiness
  • Monitor supply vs. demand and proactively identify shortages, excess inventory, and potential risks to deployment schedules
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure timely procurement of materials based on forecasted demand
  • Maintain and manage planning data within ERP systems (Net Suite), ensuring accuracy of demand signals and supply parameters
  • Analyze inventory levels, lead times, and consumption trends to optimize material planning strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement of forecasting accuracy and planning processes
  • Support NPI and ramp activities by developing build plans and material readiness strategies
  • Communicate forecast changes and demand variability clearly to internal stakeholders and external partners (e.g., contract manufacturers)
  • Generate reports and dashboards to track forecast accuracy, material availability, and supply chain performance
Qualifications
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. personnel security clearance
  • Background in electronics or high‑tech manufacturing industry
  • Experience working with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering change processes
  • Familiarity with contract manufacturer (CM) environments and supply planning across external partners
  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and production ramp
  • Understanding of inventory optimization, lead time management, and material requirements planning (MRP)
  • Experience working in a start‑up or high‑growth environment
Within 1 month, you’ll:
  • Complete onboarding and gain an understanding of Leo Labs’ supply chain structure, ERP systems, and material flow
  • Learn how demand signals are generated and how forecasts support production and deployment schedules
  • Become familiar with current planning tools, reports, and cross‑functional stakeholders
Within 3 months, you’ll:
  • Begin generating and maintaining forecasts for select programs or product lines
  • Identify and communicate potential material…
