We are looking for a Senior Field Engineer to join our office in Menlo Park, CA.
•
Salary range: $115,000 – $145,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
• Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United States now or in the future; no visa sponsorship.
• Agency policy: No staffing agency candidates will be considered.
- Interpret designs, drawings, and specifications for crafts and materials installation.
- Ensure plans and specifications are adhered to and implement quality control measures.
- Prepare and submit RFIs, submittal reviews, mock‑ups, shop drawings, and change requisitions.
- Maintain accurate and timely daily work reports, punch lists, and status documentation.
- Verify that completed work complies with applicable codes, drawing details, and specifications.
- Conduct on‑site safety inspections, document hazards, and assist in creating a safe work environment.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and QA/QC staff to manage non‑compliance and schedule sequencing.
- Assist in quantity takeoffs, material calculations, and cost estimation.
- Support value engineering activities and propose solutions to quality control issues.
- Document compliance with OSHA regulations and participate in job walks.
- Perform ad‑hoc duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Field Supervisor.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or four years’ experience in construction management.
- Minimum five (5) years of field experience as a Project Engineer on large commercial projects (healthcare, higher education, corporate campuses, etc.).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, scheduling and estimating software, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong plan reading, quantity takeoff, and schedule coordination skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication; ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety program participation, and environmental issue mitigation.
- Experience with PCO process and change order management.
