* Main responsibilities:
*
* + Observes and complies with all safety rules and regulations. This includes Quality Systems (QS) and ISO Standards.
+ Initiates and completes technical activities leading to new or improved products or process, for current programs, next generation programs and to meet strategic goals and objectives of the company.
+ Identifies and implements corrective actions for manufacturing and/or yield related issues.
+ Implements manufacturing improvements;
Collaborates on development of new tools, equipment, or manufacturing steps to improve manufacturing procedures and improve yield, quality, or line efficiency
+ Analyzes and solves problems from basic engineering principles, theories and concepts through to a wide range of complex problems.
+ Evaluate operating data to conduct online adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.
+ May develop or revise documents and procedures. Maintain documentation, monitoring logs, training manuals, etc. for regulatory compliance. May make presentations to communicate findings.
+ Certifies manufacturing associates in the production processes.
+ Exchanges information with project team members, designers, management, and other engineering or production personnel. Delivers recommendations and suggestions to project team members and management within the department. Owns or asssists in the startup of new and troubleshoot existing processes/equipment to ensure optimal operation and performance. Owns or assists in the implementation of long term projects to maintain efficiency, yield and quality.
+ Prepares protocols and reports for engineering testing, including evaluation of new materials or process changes for the manufacturing line.
+ Mentors employees by sharing technical expertise and providing feedback and guidance. Interacts cross functionally and with internal and external customers. Serves as a consultant for engineering or scientific interpretations and advice on significant matters.
** Experience Desired*
* + Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred) plus 9+ years of related work experience with a complete understanding of specified functional area, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
+ Advanced degree preferred.
+ Design/manufacturing experience with medical device preferred.
+
Experience with root cause analysis and statistics.
+ Previous experience as Manufacturing or Quality engineer desired.
