Mechanical Technician
The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for building and assembling generator components and subsystems while adhering to established procedures. This role includes inspecting test units, documenting findings for engineering teams, and supporting continuous improvements focused on safety, quality, and efficiency. The position requires the use of precision measuring equipment and close collaboration with engineering and production teams within a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Build and assemble generator components and subsystems according to established procedures.
- Inspect test units and document findings for engineering teams.
- Support continuous improvements focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment in daily tasks.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams.
- Mechanical assembly expertise.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, and gauge blocks.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Minimum of 5 years industry experience, ideally 10+ years in automotive assembly and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and follow assembly procedures to build complex assemblies.
- Inspection, testing, and documentation skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical assemblies.
- Ability to work from engineering drawings, schematics, or assembly instructions.
- Experience with quality inspections and documentation.
- Ability to work with tight tolerances (.001").
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, heavy equipment, energy, aerospace, or industrial environments.
- Ability to frequently lift 25 lbs and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
- Experience contributing to process or safety improvements.
- Metal fabrication skills.

JobType & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Menlo Park, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $37.00/hr.
