Soft Bank Group International (“SBGI”) is seeking an enthusiastic, driven, and experienced Vice President to join the Finance team in the New York, Miami or Menlo Park office. The incumbent will provide accounting, F,P&A and P2P expertise within a dynamic high-growth operating company and private/growth equity/fund, working with visionary senior management team on key issues, special projects, and global growth.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Coordination with business teams to develop budgets and cash flow models
- Preparation and review of monthly and quarterly management reporting presentations including budget-to-actual, forecasting and cash flows.
- Preparation of general ledger accounting activity, reconciling data, and performing analytical activities to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Processing:
Based on supplier terms and payment schedules, manages generation of payment batches for processing and review by Controller - Invoice Review:
Detail oriented reviewing all invoices to ensure proper calculation and appropriate documentation for all amounts due - Vendor Relations:
Communicates with vendors as necessary regarding invoice, payments, terms, etc. - Reconciliations:
Payment reconciliations of various accounts and payment types - Invoice Inquiries:
Follows up with vendors and other payees on any invoices requiring clarification or adjustment. - Form 1099 Filings:
Generates and distributes annual IRS Forms 1099 - Policies:
Recommends policies and procedures relevant to A/P function and, upon approval, implements the policy/procedure and trains staff, as needed - Maintaining the fixed asset sub-ledger, tagging assets, conducting physical audits. Managing the full lifecycle from acquisition to disposal.
- Tracking construction in progress and transferring costs to fixed assets upon completion. Evaluating assets for impairment or obsolescence.
- Assist in developing and maintaining a strong internal control environment within the finance function and participate in internal control design and documentation
- Managed team’s daily activities to ensure effective communication, collaboration, time management and appropriate accounting treatment
- Contribute to related special projects and other duties as needed
- Some travel may be required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10 years of accounts payable/ F,P&A / accounting experience
- You have thorough knowledge of IFRS, and working knowledge of US GAAP is desirable
- You have ideally 3-5 Years of management experience
- You have a strong knowledge of and implementation experience of P2P cycle/infrastructure including software such as Ramp, , Coupa or similar software
- You have functional working knowledge of Net Suite/SAP or similar ERP system
- You have advanced proficiency in Google and MS Office applications, particularly Excel to include formulas, data manipulation, pivot tables and V-look up functions
- You have excellent time and project management skills with the ability to build strong cross functional relationships and work collaboratively
- You are a clear communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- You are detail-oriented self-starter, who thrives in a close-knit, fast-paced environment
