Network Engineer – Cisco and Juniper Expert

Must have

• Bachelors degree and eight years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• Extensive background in large-scale network design, implementation, analysis, and project management.
• Experience with implementation and configuration of IPv6 addressing and related services.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of explaining complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.
• Advanced interpersonal skills to influence, persuade, negotiate, and mentor colleagues.
• Expert knowledge of various network protocols and technologies.
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
• Proven experience in project planning and management, including team leadership.

• Provide network hardware and software support to users in the computing community under general direction.
• Oversee network projects and support the network environments of computer technologies, including voice, data, and video/image technologies.
• Administer and update Linux systems, scripts, and software used for networking services.
• Plan, design, maintain, and implement network access, security, and services.
• Monitor network for stability and proper configuration.
• Develop internal products to meet requirements of performance, maintainability, cost, interoperability, and standards conformance.
• Conduct network planning, design, reconfigurations, and equipment installations and upgrades.
• Assist fellow consultants in technical areas of expertise.
• Provide leadership, escalation, and training to other network specialists.
• Identify ongoing network issues and develop solutions and repairs.
• Evaluate new equipment and research emerging technologies.
• Maintain network security and recommend improvements.
