A Rare Opportunity to Shape the Future of Genomics
Join a team of brilliant, passionate innovators determined to transform healthcare. We build products that are 10x better than anything that exists today, and every contribution moves the needle on our mission to make life‑changing diagnostics accessible to all.
We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Prenatal data team. In this role you will partner with senior teammates across the full analytics value chain: data engineering to ingest and warehouse data, analytics engineering to model, document, and test it, and data science to analyze it, build dashboards, and deliver insights that drive decisions across the company.
This is a high‑impact role with strong opportunity for growth. You will support stakeholders across the business—including commercial teams, lab operations, clinical and quality teams, bioinformatics, and executive leadership—and help adopt AI to accelerate analysis and workflow efficiency.
Responsibilities- Contribute across the full analytics stack for Prenatal, including ingesting data from disparate sources into our central data warehouse, building clean and well‑tested data models, and delivering analyses, dashboards, and tooling directly to stakeholders.
- Partner with stakeholders to answer high‑stakes questions, such as improving lab turnaround time, identifying at‑risk accounts, supporting clinical affairs with sample and outcome data, and informing executive decisions on growth and strategy.
- Build and maintain the central analytical data warehouse, collaborating with teams that own operational systems (e.g., Clarity, bioinformatics pipelines).
- Use AI tools to accelerate your work, build HIPAA‑compliant AI‑powered analysis workflows, and help colleagues across the company adopt AI to boost productivity.
- Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and self‑serve analytics that translate data into actionable insights for clinical, commercial, and operational teams.
- Master’s or Ph.D. with 2 years of work experience, OR Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of work experience, in data science, analytics engineering, or a related data role. More experience is welcome.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (or R) for data manipulation and analysis.
- Comfort working with messy, disparate data sources and the judgment to know when to clean, re‑model, or push upstream.
- Experience working with clinical, healthcare, or other regulated data.
- Hands‑on experience with AI tools to enhance your work and an interest in helping others do the same.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner directly with non‑technical stakeholders to scope problems and deliver useful answers.
- A strong sense of ownership: you are comfortable working directly with stakeholders and treat data quality and stakeholder outcomes as part of your job.
- Familiarity with tools such as dbt, Airflow, Tableau, Stitch, Hightouch, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, AWS (S3, Batch, RDS, MWAA), and Clarity.
- Background in bioinformatics, molecular diagnostics, or the broader healthcare landscape—including the lab sales cycle, prior authorisation, reimbursement, and biosciences.
- Collaborate with brilliant, kind, and passionate colleagues in an empowering environment toward a global vision.
- Open, transparent culture with weekly Town Hall meetings.
- Opportunity to directly change the lives of hundreds of thousands of patients.
- Multiple medical benefit options; employee premiums paid 100% of select plans, dependents covered up to 80%.
- Extremely generous Family Bonding Leave for eligible employees (16 weeks, paid at 100%).
- Supplemental fertility benefits coverage.
- Retirement savings program including a 4% company match.
- Paid time off increases with tenure.
- Latest hardware (laptop, lab equipment, facilities).
- Free daily on‑site lunches from top eateries.
- Campus perks (state‑of‑the‑art gym, restaurant).
- Free on‑site EV charging.
Compensation: A competitive base pay range (actual amount based on experience), generous equity options, a corporate bonus program, and industry‑leading benefits including free healthcare options, 401(k) match, and fully paid parental leave.
