The Energy and Sustainability organization is seeking a Program Manager II to support the company's clean energy strategy and reporting efforts. This role will focus on managing energy activity data, including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 datasets, which are critical for greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, emissions forecasting, and regulatory disclosures. This is a hands-on, data-centric role requiring 3-5 years of experience in program management, data operations, or analytics coordination.
The ideal candidate will have familiarity with corporate GHG accounting, experience working with large datasets, and the ability to communicate data insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Responsibilities:
Serve as the day-to-day owner for energy activity data across Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 electricity, including data collection, QA/QC, and reporting handoff. Perform analyses on Environmental Attribute Certificate (EAC) portfolios and support the development of internal systems for portfolio management and modeling. Run and maintain recurring data collection, QA/QC, and validation processes, ensuring timely reporting and analysis.
Perform and QC data pulls, investigate anomalies, and reconcile discrepancies in energy data systems. Coordinate data and process flows across cross-functional teams to maintain accurate and complete inputs. Support emissions forecasting by providing and QA’ing activity data for regulatory and internal forecasts. Develop and maintain program-management artifacts such as trackers, roadmaps, and status reports for leadership and cross-functional forums. Support quarterly reporting cadences, including execution updates, executive meeting preparation, and dashboard creation.
Assist with external assurance and audit activities, including preparing and validating data and documentation. Respond to energy-data and analytical requests while tracking progress against internal KPIs. Maintain and improve reporting documentation, including process flows and team-specific nuances.
Qualifications:
BA or BS degree in physical sciences, engineering, math, statistics, accounting, business, environment, or a sustainability-focused field. 3-5 years of experience in program management, data operations, or analytics coordination, preferably with technical or data-oriented teams. Hands-on experience with large datasets, including data collection, QA/QC, reconciliation, and analysis. Familiarity with corporate GHG emissions accounting concepts (Scope 1, 2, and
3). Exceptional project-management skills with the ability to manage complex, data-driven projects in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting data to diverse audiences. High-level proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and charts. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data work, even under tight deadlines. Ability to work independently and adapt to ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with scripting/query languages such as SQL or Python for data pulls and automation. Experience building visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau and Excel. Familiarity with energy/utility data, including electricity, natural gas, diesel, and metering/billing data structures. Strong understanding of greenhouse gas emissions and sustainability accounting and reporting trends. Familiarity with external reporting standards such as GHGP, CDP, ISSB, GRI, TCFD, SASB, and CSRD.
Experience supporting external assurance or audit processes. Experience working within large, matrixed organizations and coordinating across cross-functional teams.
