Job Title: Cellular Dev Ops Engineer
Location: Menlo Park, CA — Onsite 5 Days/Week
Duration: 6 Months Contract- W2

We are seeking an experienced Cellular Dev Ops Engineer to join a Wearables Cellular Engineering team. This role combines 5G/LTE cellular network engineering, RF lab operations, Dev Ops automation, Python development, and cellular test infrastructure
.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience working with cellular networks and devices while also being comfortable building and operating automated infrastructure and test services.

Cellular & RF Engineering

• Configure and maintain private 5G/LTE networks
  , small cells, and callbox infrastructure.
• Support , LTE, and
  -Red Cap testing across multiple frequency bands.
• Analyze and optimize RSRP, RSRQ, and SINR measurements.
• Troubleshoot RF signal paths, cabling, attenuation, and antenna configurations.
• Perform modem provisioning and work with QMI, DIAG, EFS
  , and modem configurations.
• Execute cellular E2E testing including attach/detach, data connectivity, DNS, ping, and iperf
  3.
• Support shield-box, rack, device‑pairing, and cellular lab operations.

Dev Ops & Automation

• Integrate cellular test suites into CI/CD pipelines
  .
• Develop infrastructure automation for network configuration, ACLs, DNS, routing, and proxy filters.
• Build production automation services using Python
  .
• Work with databases including MySQL
  , schema migrations, and configuration/state management.
• Implement monitoring, metrics, alerting, and service health tracking.
• Maintain device inventory, registration, reservation, and asset‑management tooling.

Test Framework & Tooling

• Develop configuration‑driven cellular E2E tests using JavaScript/Jest
  .
• Build Python/Thrift integrations for callbox control and queries.
• Develop modem‑management utilities.
• Support lab networking including PoE, VLANs, port management, and network configuration
  .

• 3+ years of cellular/wireless engineering, Dev Ops, or combined infrastructure experience.
• Hands‑on 4G LTE and/or 5G experience.
• Experience with cellular network operations, RF measurements, and UE attach/registration
  .
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Working knowledge of Java Script .
• Strong Linux administration and shell scripting.
• Experience with networking concepts including VLANs, static routing, iptables/nftables
  .
• Experience with embedded device interfaces such as adb, fastboot, or serial
  .
• Experience with at least two of:
  • CI/CD
  • Infrastructure-as-Code
  • Configuration management
  • Database administration
  • Monitoring/observability
• Strong troubleshooting ability across RF, modem, software services, and databases.

• Amarisoft or similar small‑cell/callbox platforms.
• Keysight or Rohde & Schwarz cellular test equipment.
• Qualcomm QXDM, QMI, DIAG, NV item provisioning, EFS
  .
• Wearable or IoT device testing.
• Thrift/gRPC service development.
• Jest, pytest, or similar test automation frameworks.
• Network security, ACL, and firewall policy management.
• Shielded or anechoic test environments.
• MCTP/NCSI or similar baseboard management protocols.
