Job Description & How to Apply Below

We’re on a mission to make every human superintelligent. Our first product is a personalized "second brain"—an AI twin powered by everything you see and hear, that learns with you, remembers your entire life, and helps proactively before you even ask.

Our co-founders are AI scientists who have built moonshots at Google X, deployed production systems with over $1 billion revenue impact on Wall Street, and contributed to a Nobel Prize-winning discovery.

We have raised funding from some of Silicon Valley’s most influential venture capitalists, including the earliest investors in Facebook, Robinhood, and Zapier.

We are seeking brilliant, ambitious minds who are passionate about pushing the limits of AI to make a dent in the universe.

Role summary

The Data Analytics Engineer owns Twin Mind's data infrastructure and business reporting end to end. This role consolidates data from our cloud providers, product analytics, and subscription systems into a single verified warehouse, maintains the pipelines that keep it current, and produces the cost and performance reporting the company uses to make decisions. This is a hands-on individual contributor position with direct exposure to the founding team.

Responsibilities:
Data pipelines and infrastructure
  • Build and maintain pipelines that bring log and usage data from our cloud providers into Big Query on a reliable daily cadence
  • Consolidate backend event data, product analytics, and subscription data into a single verified warehouse accessible to the wider team
  • Monitor pipeline health and resolve failures, schema changes, and data gaps
Data quality and reconciliation
  • Reconcile internal cost tracking against provider billing statements
  • Maintain accurate model and provider pricing tables, and establish a repeatable process for detecting pricing changes
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies across data sources before they affect reporting
Reporting and analysis
  • Produce daily dashboards covering spend, active users, and the drivers behind both
  • Deliver weekly revenue and cost reporting with breakdowns by category, including transcription, summarization, and compute
  • Track cost per active user and first-week cost per user, and surface opportunities to reduce both
Product instrumentation
  • Ensure event coverage across the full lifecycle of product features, including failed, timed-out, and incomplete states
  • Build funnel and cohort reporting for activation, monetization, sharing, and cost metrics
  • Configure alerting for billing anomalies, unexpected plan changes, and integration failures
Required qualifications
  • Five or more years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a comparable quantitative role
  • Advanced SQL, including query optimization and complex analytical queries
  • Hands-on experience with Big Query or an equivalent cloud data warehouse
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining production data pipelines, including schema drift, API rate limits, incremental syncs, and alerting
  • Experience reconciling data across multiple systems and identifying discrepancies
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred qualifications
  • Advanced degree in statistics, data science, analytics, or a related quantitative field
  • Experience with consumer subscription metrics, including trials, conversion, churn, and cohort retention
  • Familiarity with Amplitude, Looker, Revenue Cat, dbt, or Airflow
  • Experience tracking inference or LLM spend at scale, including token-level cost attribution
  • Experience at an early-stage company where analytics tooling had to be built from scratch
