The Senior Manager, Supply Chain is responsible for leading, developing, and optimizing Inquis Medical’s end-to-end supply chain operations to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of materials, components, and finished medical devices. This role oversees procurement, inventory planning, supplier relationships, contract manufacturing coordination, logistics, and supply chain risk management while ensuring compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
This position combines strategic and operational leadership and serves as a key cross-functional partner to Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Clinical Affairs, Finance, and external suppliers. The Senior Manager will help build scalable supply chain processes, develop team capabilities, and provide strategic recommendations that support product development, commercialization, and ongoing manufacturing operations.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supply Chain Strategy & Operations- Develop and execute supply chain strategies that support company growth, product launches, and operational objectives.
- Establish and continuously improve supply planning, inventory management, forecasting, and procurement processes.
- Monitor key supply chain performance metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (S&OP) activities where applicable.
- Identify opportunities to improve supply chain performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Provide recommendations to senior leadership regarding supply chain strategy, risks, and opportunities.
- Supplier & Contract Manufacturing Management
- Source, qualify, and manage suppliers, contract manufacturers, and service providers.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, quality agreements, and supply agreements.
- Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply and operational excellence.
- Evaluate supplier performance through quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness, and risk-management metrics.
- Conduct supplier business reviews and support supplier audits in partnership with Quality Assurance.
- Drive supplier development and performance improvement initiatives.
- Inventory, Planning & Production Support
- Manage inventory levels to balance supply continuity with cost efficiency.
- Develop inventory policies for raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and implement controls to reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
- Coordinate material planning activities to support production schedules, clinical activities, and commercialization efforts.
- Manage purchase orders, production forecasts, and demand planning activities.
- Support new product introductions by ensuring supplier readiness, material availability, and production capacity.
- Oversee domestic and international shipping, warehousing, and distribution activities.
- Ensure timely and compliant movement of products and materials.
- Develop and maintain contingency plans to mitigate transportation and logistics disruptions.
- Monitor freight costs and implement strategies to optimize distribution performance and efficiency.
- Quality & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure supply chain activities comply with FDA Quality System Regulation (QSR), ISO 13485, and applicable international regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Quality Assurance on supplier qualification, audits, corrective actions, and quality agreements.
