Overview
Meta’s data centers underpin our products by building and operating mission-critical infrastructure from ground breaking to go live. Architecting, constructing, operating, and innovating the telecommunications and structured cabling infrastructure within our data centers is essential to high availability and scalable growth. The Supply Chain Lead will spearhead strategy and management framework as we partner with Designers, Engineers, General Contractors, Telecom Partners and Integrators.
Responsibilities- Drive Strategic Partner Engagement and Prioritization:
Lead our strategic supplier engagement framework with proactive, high-level interaction with key partners to strengthen accountability, drive strategic growth, and keep Meta top of mind. - Manage Capacity and Effective Scaling:
Oversee supplier capacity assessment and the supplier onboarding program to ensure the supply chain scales with program demands. - Optimize Partner Allocation and Planning:
Develop and maintain a data-driven partner allocation program to ensure the right partners match the right projects. - Lead Scenario Analysis and
Risk Management:
Conduct scenario analyses for supply chain optionality, providing data-driven insights to manage risk and inform capex and schedule commitments. - Analyze Supplier Ecosystem:
Understand and analyze suppliers’ business strategies, capabilities, and growth areas to inform long-term partnerships and scaling decisions. - Facilitate Strategic Reviews:
Chair Supplier Strategic Business Reviews and touchpoints, often involving leadership and supplier C-suite executives. - Contribute to Thought Leadership:
Develop new supply chain strategies and concepts as part of the organization’s thought leadership.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in engineering or construction roles with a focus on program, commercial, or strategic supply chain management
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or another relevant area; able to influence without direct authority and drive outcomes across a complex stakeholder environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in strategic communication and negotiation skills, with experience developing and executing plans to support high-level partner engagement and executive reviews
- Proficient in understanding construction means and methods, project sequencing, critical path schedules, and cost estimating for large capital projects
- Proven ability in communications and development of strategic plans over short and long term
- Proficient in understanding of construction means and methods, project sequencing, critical path schedules and cost estimating
- Solid knowledge of conceptual budgeting and cost estimating as well as scheduling tools
- Working knowledge of standards and codes
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other tools required to plan and communicate work products
- Mission-critical, infrastructure, and/or data center construction experience
- Master’s degree or license in Engineering Discipline such as Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Construction Management
- 15+ years of experience including office and field roles, demonstrating industry expertise critical for scaling
- Advanced experience or certification in Project Management, Leadership, Logistics, or Communications
- Broad range of experience across supply chain facets (Owner, General Contractor, Trade Contractor, Supplier, Vendor, Consultant) for a holistic view of scaling and allocation
- Proven experience collaborating with leadership and C-suite executives in partner organizations to align strategic objectives
