Support successful delivery of the Portsmouth Power Program by developing, maintaining, analyzing, and integrating the owner s program schedules across engineering, procurement, permitting, gas supply, construction, commissioning, and commercial milestones. This role serves as the owner s planning and scheduling lead, providing independent schedule insight, challenging EPC, OEM, PMO, and contractor assumptions, identifying emerging risks, and translating schedule data into clear actions and decisions for project leadership.

We are hiring for this position in NY and CA and are also open to candidates located in Ohio or Texas. Compensation may vary depending on geographic location, experience, and other job-related factors.
What success looks like in the first 6-12 months- Owner integrated master schedule established and aligned with approved program milestones, contracting strategy, permitting, gas supply, interconnection, procurement, construction, commissioning, and commercial requirements.
- EPC, OEM, PMO, Owner Engineer, and contractor schedules reviewed through a disciplined monthly and weekly update process with clear owner comments, action tracking, and escalation of critical-path risks.
- Schedule governance standards implemented, including baseline control, progress measurement, schedule narratives, change incorporation, coding conventions, milestone definitions, and reporting calendars.
- Near-term look-ahead and constraint-management process established to identify decisions, permits, engineering deliverables, material requirements, and site-readiness actions that could delay execution.
- Executive schedule reporting provides a reliable view of critical path, milestone confidence, emerging slippage, recovery options, and required owner decisions.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the owner s integrated master schedule for the Portsmouth Power Program using Primavera P6.
- Integrate EPC, OEM, PMO, Owner Engineer, permitting, gas supply, utility/interconnection, procurement, logistics, construction, commissioning, and owner activities into a coherent owner schedule.
- Review, validate, and challenge contractor and supplier schedules for realistic logic, sequencing, durations, calendars, constraints, resource assumptions, critical path, float, and milestone commitments.
- Evaluate baseline schedules, monthly updates, schedule narratives, progress measurement, look-ahead schedules, recovery schedules, and time-impact analyses submitted by EPC contractors, OEMs, and other delivery partners.
- Perform critical-path analysis, trend analysis, what-if scenarios, schedule impact assessments, and recovery evaluations to support owner decisions and change control.
- Monitor performance against approved baselines and identify emerging schedule risks, negative float, logic deterioration, milestone erosion, and disconnects between reported progress and field or procurement status.
- Lead or support recurring schedule review meetings with EPC contractors, OEMs, the PMO, Owner Engineer, Program Controls, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, Construction, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain milestone dashboards, schedule metrics, executive summaries, near-term look-aheads, and schedule inputs for weekly and monthly project reporting.
- Support change management and claims avoidance by assessing schedule impacts associated with design changes, late decisions, procurement delays, differing conditions, contractor notices, and change orders.
- Coordinate with cost controls, risk, change, and reporting functions to maintain alignment among schedule, cost, cash flow, risk exposure, and forecast completion dates.
- Support development of stage-gate, permitting, long-lead equipment, fabrication, delivery, site-readiness, energization, commissioning, turnover, and commercial operation milestones.
- Maintain schedule documentation, assumptions, basis, coding structures, calendars, and audit trails sufficient to support governance, executive review, and potential commercial or claims analysis.
