RN​/PACU Float

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN Float to join our team at Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area in Menlo Park and San Ramon, California offices.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with weekend and holiday rotation
• Compensation: $65 to $68 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, the OR/PACU RN will:

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems and formulate patient care plans.
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develop a plan of care, and explain subsequent phases of surgery.
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members.
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation.
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed.

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• 2 to 3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
