LocationMenlo Park, California – Hybrid 3 days per week; schedule flexible and subject to change.
Job DescriptionAs a QA Contractor, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality by executing and improving test processes, collaborating with engineering and QA leads, and supporting the delivery of high-quality features. The role is designed for individuals who can operate independently, contribute to test strategy, and take ownership of execution within defined scopes.
Responsibilities- Execute and maintain manual and automated test cases for new and existing features.
- Reproduce, document, and triage bugs; work closely with engineering to drive resolution.
- Write and maintain clear, comprehensive test cases and test plans.
- Support QA leads in driving test strategy and test plan creation.
- Create and maintain dashboards to track quality metrics and test progress.
- Conduct product audits with QA leads’ guidance to analyze and improve test coverage.
- Conduct bug audits with QA leads’ guidance to identify product areas needing improvement.
- Provide release readiness support for medium/small size features.
- Lead test execution for small to medium‑sized projects or features.
- Attend status meetings and represent QA in the absence of QA leads.
- Work onsite as needed to collaborate directly with engineering and QA teams.
- Support stealth projects requiring higher diligence in execution.
- Run and lead testing techniques such as benchmarking testing, battery testing, and performance testing.
- Testing new features for apps such as Edits, Facebook, Whats App, and privacy‑related features.
- Testing new features and concepts using client tools/apps, not tied to a single AI tool.
- Coordinating with offshore teams (India and Mexico) for complex test setup and coordination, which may involve overtime / early‑late collaboration.
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance or a related field.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience writing and executing test cases and test plans.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with dashboarding tools and quality metrics is a plus.
- Comfortable working onsite and engaging directly with cross‑functional teams.
- Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is required.
