QA Contractor (Manual + Automation Testing

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced QA Contractor to join a fast-paced product engineering team responsible for delivering high-quality software and consumer-facing experiences. This position is ideal for a QA professional who can independently drive testing efforts, contribute to test strategy, and partner closely with engineering teams to ensure product excellence.

You will be responsible for executing manual and automated testing, driving defect resolution, supporting release readiness, and maintaining high standards of product quality.

• Execute and maintain both manual and automated test cases for new and existing features.
• Reproduce, document, and triage defects while working closely with engineering teams to drive resolution.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test cases, test plans, and supporting documentation.
• Support QA Leads in defining test strategies and test planning activities.
• Create dashboards and reports that track quality metrics, defect trends, and test execution progress.
• Conduct Product Audits and Bug Audits to identify quality gaps and improve test coverage.
• Support release-readiness activities for small and medium-sized product releases.
• Lead test execution efforts for assigned projects and features.
• Represent QA during project meetings when required.
• Collaborate directly with developers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Execute specialized testing activities including:
  
  Performance Testing
• Battery Testing
• Support highly confidential and fast-moving product initiatives requiring exceptional attention to detail.

5+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience

Strong experience with:

• Manual Testing
• Automation Testing
• Test Planning
• Test Case Development
• Regression Testing
• Functional Testing
• API Testing

Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments

Strong understanding of:

• QA Methodologies
• Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC)

Hands-on experience with:

• Python
• SQL

Experience using defect tracking and test management tools such as:

• JIRA
• Test Rail
• Similar QA platforms

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Comfortable working onsite and collaborating with engineering teams

Experience with dashboarding and quality metrics reporting

Experience with:

• Release Readiness Reviews
• Product Audits
• Bug Audits

Experience testing hardware-connected products, mobile applications, IoT devices, consumer products, or distributed systems

Experience with performance, benchmarking, and battery testing

• Work on cutting-edge products with a globally recognized technology leader.

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
