Scientist II / Senior Scientist, Protein Science:
Antibody / ADC Analytics and Engineering
Hexagon Bio leverages a genomics-based platform and understanding of natural product evolution to develop next-generation medicines for human disease, including Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs) with novel payloads. Our algorithms identify gene clusters that encode the machinery needed to produce specialized metabolites and our unique platform allows us to produce new chemical leads and novel payloads based on these findings. We use data science, genomics, synthetic biology, and automation to discover and develop potent, evolutionarily refined small molecules from fungal genomes, paving the way for groundbreaking advancements in ADC therapeutics.
As a Scientist in the Protein Science group, you will be part of a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary team, and will be responsible for the development and characterization of ADCs, contributing to the advancement of groundbreaking therapeutic interventions. The candidate should have a strong foundation in antibodies from discovery through early development and be highly knowledgeable in antibody analytical methods and antibody production and engineering to enable the advancement of innovative ADCs.
By supporting collaborative efforts between cell biology, chemistry, and protein science teams the candidate will support the development of first-in-class ADC therapies. Candidates should demonstrate independence, scientific curiosity, efficient time management, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a passion for science. The role is expected to be primarily focused on laboratory work with potential for CRO management.
