Senior Software Engineer, Digital Experiences

This is a hybrid position (onsite 2–3 days per week) located in Menlo Park, CA. The role involves building and maintaining robust digital experiences that serve clinicians and patients across diverse care settings.

• Build a seamless digital experience for clinicians and patients accessing complex genetic testing.
• Digitize paper‑based workflows at oncology clinics to improve efficiency.
• Enable better transfer of care through portable electronic medical records.

Python, Django, Postgres, React, Typescript, AWS, Salesforce, and emerging AI‑assisted coding environments.

• Build and maintain applications using React, Typescript, Django, Postgres, and related libraries.
• Collaborate with product design and product management to deliver user‑friendly experiences for patients and providers.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing.
• Propose innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
• Write comprehensive unit tests and ensure adequate test coverage for all components.
• Own end‑to‑end project delivery and take initiative to drive projects forward.
• Advocate for engineering excellence through architectural best practices, code quality standards, and thoughtful code reviews.
• Apply security and compliance best practices to protect sensitive patient information.
• Constructively challenge ideas from stakeholders while leveraging their expertise to improve solutions.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a track record of delivering complex projects.
• Deep expertise with modern frontend technologies, especially Typescript, React, and CSS‑in‑JS libraries.
• Experience implementing frontend architecture best practices such as component systems, npm work spaces, Storybook, and Playwright testing.
• Hands‑on experience with web frameworks such as Django.
• Familiarity with AI‑driven development practices and tools.
• Preferred: willingness to work in‑person at the Menlo Park office.

• Previous startup or entrepreneurial experience.
• Experience driving products from zero to one.
• Familiarity with healthcare data and standards such as FHIR and HL7.
• Interest in engaging with and applying large language models.
