Join a team of brilliant, passionate innovators determined to transform healthcare. At Billion To One , we've built a category-defining, publicly traded company on Nasdaq where transparency fuels trust, collaboration drives breakthroughs, and every contribution moves the needle on our mission to make life-changing diagnostics accessible to all. We don't just aim for incremental improvements; we build products that are 10x better than anything that exists today.
Our scientists, engineers, sales executives, and visionaries are united by an unwavering commitment to changing the standard of care in prenatal and cancer diagnostics. This is where cutting-edge science meets human compassion, and every innovation you contribute helps remove the fear of the unknown from some of life's most critical medical moments.
If you're driven by purpose, energized by innovation, and ready to help shape the future of precision medicine at scale, this is where you belong.
We are seeking a highly driven leader for one of the most critical and high-impact roles at Billion To One : the Senior Director of Product Management, Oncology. In this role, you will essentially act as the General Manager for the entire oncology product line, owning the product roadmap for Northstar, our liquid biopsy product for therapy selection and monitoring. This is a unique opportunity for a GM-like product leader with strong end-to-end ownership, exceptional people management skills, and the ability to be both strategic and hands-on.
The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and can navigate the complexities of scaling innovative products in a competitive market. You will lead new assay development, drive product enhancements, and collaborate with diverse teams, including R&D, clinical, and engineering. You'll be responsible for ensuring our oncology products not only meet market demands but set the standard in the industry.
This role is an hybrid (onsite 3 days/week) position and reports directly to the Chief Product Officer.
Responsibilities:
- GM Ownership: Own the oncology product line from top to bottom, ensuring long-term strategic success while handling day-to-day tactical responsibilities.
- Market Expert & Product Visionary: Be the company's leading expert on user needs, market trends, and how Billion To One 's technology can solve critical problems in oncology diagnostics.
- Product Launch & Execution: Lead product launch strategies, overseeing every element from assay development to software apps, regulatory constraints, and customer experience.
- People Leadership: Manage and inspire a cross-functional team of R&D, clinical, engineering, and commercial experts, aligning their efforts towards the product's success.
- User Experience Champion: Design and deliver a seamless user experience across the entire testing process, in collaboration with UX designers and stakeholders.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Monitor product performance, user feedback, and market shifts, making data-driven decisions to enhance product offerings and maintain leadership in the market.
- 5-10 years of product management experience with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of complex product lines
- Proven experience launching diagnostic testing products (oncology or NGS-based diagnostics preferred)
- GM-like mindset with strategic vision and hands-on execution skills
- Excellent people management and leadership capabilities across cross-functional teams
- Strong background in product launch strategy, go-to-market execution, and program management
- On-site position (relocation to SF Bay Area required)
- Another advanced degree (Masters/PhD) in molecular biology, bioengineering, medicine, chemical biology, or a related field is strongly preferred
- Experience with launching and managing NGS-based diagnostic testing assays is a strong plus
- Working alongside brilliant, kind, passionate and dedicated colleagues, in an empowering environment, toward a global vision, striving for a future in which transformative molecular diagnostics can help millions of patients
- Open, transparent culture that includes weekly Town Hall meetings
- The ability to indirectly or directly change the lives of hundreds of thousands patients
- Multiple medical benefit options; employee premiums paid 100% of select plans, dependents covered up to 80%
- Extremely generous Family Bonding Leave for new parents (16 weeks, paid at 100%)
- Supplemental fertility benefits coverage
- Retirement savings program including a 4% Company match
- Increase paid time off with increased tenure
- Latest and greatest hardware (laptop, lab equipment, facilities)
- Free daily on-site lunches provided from top eateries
- A variety of perks on campus (state of the art gym, restaurant)
- Free on-site EV charging (compatible with all EVs, including Tesla)
