Moloco Commerce Media (MCM) is expanding its engineering team to support an expanding number of customers with rigorous engineering practices and global scale. We are looking for an experienced engineer who can lead complex feature developments from end to end, provide deep technological consultations to customers and internal teams, and support systems that handle billions of ad auctions per day with high performance and quality user experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and operate an end‑to‑end enterprise platform that remains fast, reliable, and secure at scale.
- Build and maintain APIs and features for ad serving, shaping the technical roadmap for the future of the product.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance for both internal and external engineering teams and cross‑functional business teams.
- Engage directly with customers to identify gaps, translate real‑world needs into engineering solutions, and deliver outcomes including legacy platform migrations, data connectors, bespoke features, workflows, and analytics.
- Contribute to the strategic vision of the platform and strongly influence technical decisions and long‑term architecture.
- Explore and prototype next‑generation features, including those enabled by generative AI.
- 7+ years of software development experience using modern languages such as Java, C++, Go, and Python.
- 2+ years of leadership experience delivering technical projects with a small (3+) team of engineers.
- Hands‑on experience with large‑scale distributed systems from requirements gathering and design to implementation and production deployment.
- Experience building platforms for digital advertising or e‑commerce applications.
- Experience with cloud‑based technologies (e.g., AWS, GCE, GCP, Beam, Spark, Big Table, Big Query).
- Experience working directly with customers of varying technical levels, translating ambiguous requirements into actionable roadmaps and technical solutions.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain cross‑functional and customer relationships.
- Willingness to travel as needed (up to 15% travel).
- Communication proficiency, capable of elaborating engineering concepts and product features in detail even to non‑technical audiences.

Ranges
- Region A (Menlo Park Office, New York Office, SF Bay Area, New York Metro Area): $220,000—$303,600 USD
- Region B (Seattle Office, Seattle, Los Angeles/Orange County, San Diego, Austin, Boston, Washington DC Metro Area, Miami): $198,000—$273,240 USD
- Region C (All other U.S. locations): $187,200—$258,336 USD
