Shift: Monday - Thursday 8:00pm - 6:00am ($23.00/hour + $1.00 night shift premium)
** Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:*
* + Team Leads must arrive prior to shift start.
+ They must understand the overall flow of the line and the technical aspects of the component for features generated in area of responsibility.
+ They are also required to understand the technical aspects of the processes and flow for area assigned.
+ They must be capable of adjusting line staffing to meet flow requirements and supporting the section's production plan.
+ They translate the direction set by the Section Manager to task assignments for each Team Member in the given area to meet the section's plan/requirements.
+ They must be both a practitioner and teacher of fundamental CPS principles and committed to their successful implementation. They are responsible for continually looking for and identifying WASTE.
+ They are required to fill in for other Team Leads or Team Members as required for absenteeism, poor line flow, and quality and/or equipment issues to provide a continuous operation. (They will be trained and capable of running ALL operations in the assigned area)
+ They must be able to handle the pressure of production requirements while maintaining a positive working relationship with the Team Members on the line, as well as with their peers, and their managers. (Drive performance without damaging line morale)
+ Team Leads must be able to communicate effectively with all those in need of information, including Team Members, management, maintenance, quality groups, etc. They are required to report out on the area's status relative to plan.
+ They must identify safety, personnel, quality, and production issues and bring them to the immediate attention of the section manager to minimize the given problem's impact on their area of responsibility and potentially the section as a whole.
+ They must respond to and collaborate with downstream operations to resolve work flow issues.
+ They must respond to customer calls if their assigned area is responsible for the customer pain experienced.
+ Team Leads are also responsible for owning the metrics for the given area and are accountable for each operation's metric accuracy and timeliness of their reporting.
+ They own the area's _current state_ Value Stream Map. They partner with the Section Manager in implementation of changes needed to achieve the _future state_ Value Stream Map.
+ They must have the ability to conduct _Root Cause/Correction Action (RCCA)_ investigation via data driven part/process troubleshooting within the assigned area. They should be able to review, collect and analyze component, process and machine data in order to determine root cause.
+ They are responsible for generating and driving the implementation of all Continuous Improvement ideas owned by their assigned area.
+ Team Leads must participate and/or lead _Rapid Improvement Workshops_ for their assigned area of responsibility.
+ They must continually monitor and audit People, Quality, Velocity and Cost metrics for each operation (cell level metrics) in their area of responsibility. This is accomplished via audits of Team Member's performance compared to:
Standard Work, Significant Control Points and Area indicators.
+ They are responsible for assisting in the creation, training and implementation of _Standard Work_ processes and documentation.
+ They must participate in or lead _Process Improvement Dialogs_ in their area of responsibility.
+ They must be able to communicate effectively with all those in need of information including Section Managers, Team Members, Operations Leadership and support groups as needed for the given area to meet performance requirements.
