Position: Machine Shop Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITYShall facilitate, lead, direct, and train L.E. Jones Co. employees in the production of a high quality product that meets or exceeds customer specifications in a timely and efficient manner.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSHigh School Education, good organizational skills, able to get along with people and gain their cooperation, and basic knowledge of machining practices.
TYPICAL DUTIES- Respond to contingencies
- Determine manpower levels (with the help of scheduling)
- Provide training and instruction
- Assign work to Bargaining Unit employees
- Schedule overtime when needed
- Monitor efficiency and correct if necessary
- Improve productivity
- Implement company quality policies (SPC) (TS 16949 programs)
- Understand and Administer labor contract
- Understand and Administer company policies (safety, behavioral, work rules)
- Keep a productive working atmosphere and relationship
- Serve as primary contact to bargaining unit workforce
- Manage and record first aid and medical emergencies
- Perform lock-up and shut-down procedures at end of week
- Supervise monthly and year-end inventory
- Handle all incoming phone calls after 4:30 p.m.
