The Controller is responsible for leading the Company's accounting operations and supporting the integrity of its accounting records, financial reporting, and internal control environment. This role oversees accounting processes, ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, and partners with the CFO to drive continuous improvement through automation, system integration, standardized workflows, and data-driven reporting. The Controller helps ensure the ERP serves as an accurate and reliable digital representation of the business.

Duties and Principal Responsibilities
  • Directs and oversees the accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls, regulatory compliance, and efficient accounting operations.
  • Ensures the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Partner with the CFO in developing monthly financial reporting packages, department performance analyses, and variance commentary, while collaborating with operational leaders to improve financial understanding, accountability, and decision‑making.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to identify, prioritize, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the accounting function by leveraging ERP capabilities, Excel automation, system integrations, and finance technologies (e.g., expense management platforms, banking platforms, payroll systems, and reporting tools) to improve operational efficiency, scalability, internal controls, and data integrity.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify processes, eliminate manual activities, and standardize accounting practices across the organization.
  • Develop, document, and maintain accounting procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and internal controls to establish consistent accounting practices, support ERP standardization, and enable the successful integration of domestic and international entities into the Company's Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations environment.
  • Recommend and lead the implementation of improvements to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen governance, and document accounting processes.
  • Lead the monthly financial close by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting analyses to ensure financial statements are complete, accurate, and timely.
  • Serve as the accounting process owner for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations by governing standardized accounting policies, reporting procedures, and ERP processes across domestic and international entities. Partner with international finance teams to ensure consistent application of accounting standards, intercompany accounting, financial reporting, purchase order processes, and cash management.
  • Provide functional management and oversight of the Accounting & Contracts Administrator with respect to accounts receivable activities, including billing, collections, cash application, and month‑end close responsibilities. While the position does not have direct supervisory authority, incumbent is responsible for establishing priorities, reviewing performance of accounting‑related duties, and ensuring adherence to Company policies and financial controls.
  • Ensure the integrity of payroll and benefit administration through effective internal controls, compliance and coordination with Human Resources.
  • Oversee physical inventory counts and cycle counts, validate inventory accuracy through reconciliations and audits, analyze inventory discrepancies, and work with stakeholders within the Execution team to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Work in concert with the CFO to prepare review work papers, supporting schedules, and coordinate annual financial review fieldwork with external auditors.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to manage the preparation, review, and filing of all applicable local, state, and federal tax returns, ensuring timely compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with the CFO to prepare and distribute quarterly estimated tax distribution reports, owner communications, and related payments.
